Refund policy

We want a fair and simple refund process for everyone who registers for First Proof 2027. This page explains when refunds are issued and which fees apply. The dates below follow from the event date, April 17, 2027.

You get a full refund of your registration fee in these situations:

• Event cancellation: If First Proof 2027 is cancelled, every registration fee is refunded in full.
• Registration not accepted: If we can't take your registration, for example because the event is full, you receive a full refund.
• Early cancellation: If you cancel more than 7 days before the event, which means on or before April 10, 2027, you receive a full refund.

If you cancel within 7 days of the event (from April 11, 2027 through April 17, 2027), no refund is issued. By then we've ordered food and materials and reserved space for you, and this is what lets us keep the price low.

So we can plan the day properly:

• No-show: If you don't attend and didn't let us know at least 7 days ahead, you're charged a $30 no-show fee on top of the registration fee.
• Late arrival: If you arrive after 9:15 AM on the day (April 17, 2027) without 7 days' notice, you're charged the same $30 fee.
• These fees are non-refundable. They offset the materials, food, and space held for you. The fee is charged to the card used at registration.

Scholarship registrations are free, so there's nothing to refund. The no-show and late-arrival fees still apply, since a scholarship holds a spot someone else could have had. If you can't make it, tell us as early as you can and we'll pass the spot on.

Email contact@firstproofconference.com with your name, the email address you registered with, and the reason. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days.

If you can't come but know someone who'd like your spot, you may be able to transfer your registration to them at no cost, subject to organizer approval. Ask at least 3 days before the event, by April 14, 2027. Transfers are at the organizers' discretion.

Things happen. If an emergency keeps you from attending, contact us. We look at each case on its own and may make exceptions to this policy.
